As you might have noticed by the title of the blog, we live by the sea. We have been here for over 20 years and it is lovely having a beach across the road from your house. We are so lucky because some kids never see the sea! But as Tilly is a teenager now, she is very picky about the swimsuits that she wears when we all get together with friends. Like all teens, she is conscious of her body and tries to avoid wearing a swimsuit in the summer. So our mission was to get swimsuits for this summer that she will be comfortable in. We were gifted some swimsuits from Lands End Clothing for the purpose of review.
Tulip Hem Tankini Top
The first tankini she chose was the Tulip Hem Tankini Top. It usually costs £70 but is From £49 with code: M5Y2 as a special offer. As the name suggests, the hem is a tulip hem, which adds a bit of glamour to the tankini top. It is available in sizes 8 to 28. So if you want to match with your daughter, this is totally possible. You can wear any swimming pants to match the tankini top. That is the best thing about mix and match. How many times have you shoved your swimwear all in a drawer and you just want to grab the first thing? So add colour by wearing bright colour pants or keep to black and where plain black swim pants.
The Tulip Hem Tankini has a v-neckline, which adds elegance to the tankini. The straps are adjustable for support and comfort. And it has UPF 50 sun protection from UVA and UVB rays. This will help you to stay safe in the sun.
The tankini also has Lycra® Xtra Life™ which helps to resist breakdown from chlorine, sunscreen and heat. So it will last longer than a normal swimsuit.
Women’s Halter Neck Tankini Top
The Halter Neck Tankini comes in black with ruched sides and a square neckline. The straps tie at the back of your neck, so you can have it as tight or as loose as you need it. The cups are soft and comfortable to wear. Tilly said that she felt very secure inside the tankini top. You can mix and match the top with any swimming bottoms of your choice. So you can wear patterned or plain swimming bottoms with it.
The tankini top is made with UPF 50 fabric, so it helps to prevent too much sun exposure on your skin. Protecting you from UVA and UVB rays, but you still need to wear sunscreen. The tankini fabric is Lycra® Xtra Life™ and it resists breakdown from chlorine, sunscreen and heat. Meaning it lasts longer as you wear it.
The Halter Neck Tankini Top is available on the Lands End website for £65. Tilly chose the top because she wants some tankini tops like this to wear as tops whilst she goes backpacking this summer. As it is beautiful and classy, she will love wearing it. It is handwash only and when we washed it, it dried pretty fast. Something that we need whilst we are away on holiday.
Women’s Tummy Control Bikini Bottoms
Both of the swimming Tankinis that we tried out can be mixed and matched with any swimming pants. You know when you are on holiday and you just want to grab the nearest clean swimsuit? It doesn’t matter if they do not match. Because both of the tankinis are black, you can wear them with patterned or plain bottoms.
These bikini pants are high-waisted so they cover your tummy and with a tankini top, it looks like a one-piece set. They also have tummy control, so if you have ‘wobbly bits around the waist, they will support you more. If you do not feel confident in a swimsuit these Women’s Tummy Control Bikini Bottoms will make you feel so comfortable. What My Friends And I Thought Of Swimsuits For This Summer
As we were on a camping trip as we sat around the campfire we talked about these swimsuits. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the tankini tops, and women between the age of 13 and 55 all said they would wear these swimsuits this summer.
For clothing to have an audience of such wide-ranging ages, means that Lands End is selling swimsuits to suit their huge audience. It means they know their audience and they know what they want. I love the sun protection in the swimsuit as it adds a little more protection in the summer.
The swimming bottoms have tummy control for women who need a little protection around the waist. This makes them feel more confident and happy to wear a swimsuit. Some women worry about how they look around the pool or at the beach. There is no need to worry at all about these swimsuits. They compliment your body and they are so comfortable to wear. There is more than enough support in the bust area for the size 12 costumes that we tried out. Overall we loved the swimwear from Lands End, and you will too.
